Mintaka Return Policy

At Mintaka, we craft each of our leather goods with exceptional care and attention to detail. We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

30-Day Returns

We understand that sometimes a product might not be exactly what you were looking for. That's why we offer a straightforward 30-day return policy:

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days of your original purchase date
  • If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can't offer you a refund or exchange
  • Items must be unused, unworn, and in the same condition you received them
  • All original tags, packaging, and accessories must be included
  • A valid proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required

Items Not Eligible for Return

Some types of goods are exempt from being returned:

  • Gift cards
  • Personalized items
  • Downloadable products

Sale Items

Only regular priced items may be refunded; unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Return Process

  1. Contact our customer care team at info@mintaka.co.za or visit any Mintaka store
  2. To return your product, you should mail your product to: 27 Lyn Road, Strijdom Park, Johannesburg, GP, 2160, South Africa
  3. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item
  4. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund
  5. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment

Refund Timing

  • Your refund will be processed promptly after inspection
  • Depending on your payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account
  • If you haven't received your refund after a reasonable time:
    • First check your bank account again
    • Contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted
    • Contact your bank, as there is often some processing time before a refund is posted
    • If you've done all of this and still haven't received your refund, please contact us at info@mintaka.co.za

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange for the same item, send us an email at info@mintaka.co.za and send your item to: 27 Lyn Road, Strijdom Park, Johannesburg, GP, 2160, South Africa.

Quality Commitment

If you discover a manufacturing or material defect in your Mintaka product:

  • Contact us as soon as possible with photos and a description of the issue
  • Our craftsmen will assess the product to determine if there's a manufacturing or material defect
  • For confirmed defects, we'll repair, replace, or refund your item at our discretion

Gift Returns

  • If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return
  • Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you
  • If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will be notified about your return

Shipping

  • You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable
  • If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund
  • Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary
  • If you are shipping an item over R500, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance
  • We don't guarantee that we will receive your returned item unless you use a trackable shipping service
